Step 1 — Pre-Rinse
Begin by rinsing your vehicle using a pressure washer or a garden hose with a spray gun on the jet setting. Start from the top down to remove loose dirt, dust, mud, pollen, bird droppings, and other contaminants.
This step is crucial to minimise the risk of scratches and swirl marks by clearing away gritty particles before any contact wash. Pay extra attention to lower panels, wheel arches, and bumpers, as these collect the most road grime.
Step 2 — Wheels & Tyres
Spray your Wheel and Tyre Cleaner across the wheel face, spokes, and inner barrel. Apply a tyre cleaner or all-purpose cleaner to the sidewalls and allow it to dwell for 30–60 seconds—but do not let it dry.
Use:
-
A soft wheel brush for the face and spokes
-
A barrel brush for inside the barrel
-
A small detailing brush for tight areas such as lug nuts
-
A stiff bristle tyre brush for cleaning sidewalls and removing browning or old dressing
Rinse thoroughly from top to bottom.
Tip:
Always clean wheels and tyres before the main wash to avoid transferring brake dust or grit onto your paintwork. Keep wheel brushes separate from your paint brushes.
Step 3 — Snow Foam
Apply your Snow Foam using a foam cannon or foam gun, covering the entire vehicle. The thick foam encapsulates remaining dirt, road grime, and contaminants left after the pre-rinse.
Allow the foam to dwell for a few minutes (never let it dry), then rinse thoroughly from bottom to top.
This adds an extra layer of safety before touching the paint, further reducing the chance of scratches.
Step 4 — Contact Wash (Two-Bucket Method)
Prepare two buckets:
-
Wash bucket: Water + your chosen Shampoo
-
Rinse bucket: Clean water (grit guards recommended)
Using a quality wash mitt, begin washing from the top down, working in small sections. After each section, rinse the mitt in the rinse bucket before reloading it with soapy water. Leave heavily soiled lower panels until last.
Rinse the vehicle thoroughly to remove all shampoo residue.
Note:
For a deeper decontamination wash, use Envoke Reboot Shampoo. Safe on coatings, PPF, and wraps, it’s ideal for a once-a-month maintenance wash to keep protective layers performing at their best.
Step 5 — Touchless Drying (Recommended)
Use a Bigboi Blower or any automotive-safe blower to dry the vehicle without touching the paint. Work from the top down, pushing water from panels, mirrors, grilles, badges, and panel gaps.
Touchless drying significantly reduces the risk of swirl marks, scratches, and water spots. Ensure all hidden areas are blown out to prevent later drips.
Step 6 — Towel Drying (If No Blower Is Available)
If a blower is not available, use a high-quality drying towel with your chosen Quick Detailer or drying aid spray.
-
Lightly mist the towel, not the paint
-
Glide the towel across panels in straight lines, top to bottom
This prevents water spots, speeds up drying, and enhances gloss.
Note:
Only a small amount of product is needed—2 sprays of detail spray will cover roughly ¼ of the car. Less is more for an even, streak-free finish.
Step 7 — Final Gloss & Finishing Step
Even if blow-dried, a finishing step enhances gloss and removes any remaining moisture.
-
Lightly mist a plush microfibre towel with your chosen detail spray
-
Work panel by panel
-
Buff with a second dry towel (or the reverse side of the same towel)
Use only 2 sprays per panel.
Avoid spraying products directly onto paintwork, as this can lead to streaking or uneven application.
For matte finishes:
Use Envoke Matte & PPF Detail Spray to maintain a uniform, non-gloss appearance.
Finishing Touches
Glass Finishing
Use Envoke Ceramic Glass Cleaner for crystal-clear, streak-free windows.
-
Spray onto a dedicated glass microfibre towel (not directly on the glass)
-
Work one window at a time
-
Follow with a second clean towel to remove residue
Tip:
Apply to exterior mirrors as well. The ceramic formula adds hydrophobic protection, improving visibility in wet conditions. Safe for tinted windows.
Tyres & Rims Finishing
Once tyres are fully dry, apply your Tyre Dressing for a clean, rich appearance.
-
Use a foam or tyre applicator (never spray directly onto the tyre)
-
Spread evenly across the sidewall
-
For a deeper gloss, apply a second coat after the first cures
Ceramic tyre dressings are recommended for their durability and resistance to sling.
Rims:
Apply a quality detail spray using the same method as your paint—onto a towel, not the surface. Ceramic detail sprays add hydrophobic protection and make future cleaning easier while delivering exceptional gloss.
Monthly Reset Wash — Envoke Reboot Descaling Shampoo
Envoke Reboot Descaling Shampoo is essential for maintaining ceramic-coated vehicles. It removes stubborn contamination such as:
-
Salt
-
Mineral deposits
-
Scale
-
Heavy road film
These are contaminants standard shampoos can’t remove.
Reboot restores:
-
Gloss
-
Slickness
-
Hydrophobic performance
Use once a month or every fourth wash. For vehicles exposed to harsh environments—dirt roads, coastal salt, mineral-rich water—use more frequently.
Suitable for ceramic-coated cars, boats, and caravans, Reboot keeps coatings performing at their best and maintains long-term protection.
