Product Description

NOW UPDATED WITH "CNT" INFUSED

Carbon Nanotubes "CNT" is now infused in your favorite coating. Still remains same ease of applications but now has benefits of Japanese cutting edge material thanks to the CNT. Carbon Nanotubes act not only strengthen cross link of the coating to the applied surface but also act as electrical conducting layer which will smoothen flow of the aerodynamics of the car. The use of electrical conductive material to increase gas millage as well as performance of the car is proven by the Toyota motor company with their patents.

KEPT EASE OF APPLICATION

One of the reason why Miyabi Coat remains same formula for such a long time is due to the ease of applications which has strong requests from detailers across the world. We successfully kept application characteristic with the infusion of the carbon nanotubes. We kept the same recipe.

Nothing is added, Nothing is subtracted

In five years, the only change has been is to increase the ratio of alkoxylan, a raw material, by only 1%.
In the Kamikaze product line, which is constantly being improved and refined, it is becoming an exceptional product.
Especially in the U.S. market, we have been asked not to change the ingredients of MIYABI.
In other words, MIYABI is already a matured masterpiece.
MIYABI is a masterpiece that has remained unchanged for 5 years and is the core of our product line.

What exactly is "Glass or ceramic coating"

When I give presentations overseas, I begin by saying
Glass coatings are glass, yes. Ceramic coatings are not ceramic.
I say, "Glass coating is glass, yes. Fundamentally, overseas users still misunderstand coatings as a dream liquid.
Of course, all coatings are beautiful immediately after application.
Both glass and ceramic are "completely inorganic.
Although inorganic materials have a strong tendency to resist organic stains such as oil stains (in fact, they can be dissolved by alkaline detergents that remove oil stains), they are not able to resist inorganic stains (water spots, water stains, etc.).
Inorganic stains (water spots, silica scale, etc.) are weak against inorganic stains, and the same can be said for window glass and toilet ceramics. It is the same tendency for actual ceramic coated cars.
Although organic waxes have shorter absolute durability, they are more resistant to inorganic stains, and are more durable than organic waxes.
In terms of the beauty of the car, organic wax protection is more effective in maintaining the beauty of the car than inorganic paint surfaces.
This is the theory behind the waxing process. In other countries, wax is still widely used.
There are still many complaints of "water stains" on the painted surfaces, especially after investing a lot of money to have coatings applied by other companies.
They understand this situation better than anyone else in the field.
In the Japanese market, there is still a tendency to rely on vast advertisements while half understanding this difficulty.
Our basic theory is that as long as the substance water contains inorganic substances (calcium, potassium, and other stain-causing substances), water spots will occur on any coating.
While it is a coating that does not eat into (sink into) the painted surface with minimal damage.
We believe that the best coating is one that can be easily removed and maintained with our ANTI-AGING chemicals.
We believe that our stance of facing the essential beauty of the car head-on without hype, rather than the hardness and inorganic nature of the coating, is the best way to achieve our goal.
As a pioneer of glass coatings made in Japan, we have left a certain reputation and market in overseas markets.

Thick gloss from the 96% of active ingredients

The main component of MIYABI COAT is siloxane resin made of alkoxysiloxane and alkoxylan.
Although described as a glass coating, it is actually made of siloxane resin.
Although there are different types of glass coatings based on raw materials such as polysilazanes and siloxanes, it is important to note that if even 1% of the silicone component is contained, the coating is called a glass-based coating.
This product does not contain any organic solvents such as IPA, toluene, white gasoline, etc., which are included in general coatings, and has been successfully commercialized with a concentration of 96%.

Ultra low molecular engineering

Many foreign and domestic products in general require solvents.
The main reason for this is that solvents are necessary not only for dilution, but also because solvents are used to dissolve and bite into the painted surface.
Unlike general industrial silicone manufacturing processes, our manufacturing plant and manufacturing processes use only carefully selected raw materials from plants capable of ultra-low molecular weight manufacturing.
In other words, the chemical bonding is based on the molecular size of the raw materials. However, it is difficult for foreign-made coatings to produce raw materials with such precision, and a high concentration of 96% is said to be impossible even today.
When I tried to produce an equivalent product with the same ratio of ingredients, main ingredients, and additives, I found that the properties were completely different, which I discovered after contacting the developer.

One weakness of the completely inorganic

One weakness of the completely inorganic coating is that water stains on the painted surface are likely to occur in stand-alone applications.
Inorganic materials are not perfect protective coatings, just as inorganic glass and ceramics can be contaminated.
In addition, since there are no additives (modified silicone, fluorine, etc.) that cause water repellency, the film will be hydrophobic.
The finished product will have a natural luster as if a clear layer had been added. The expression "glossy" means an oily, wax-like finish, so the expression "increased gloss and luster" does not fit this coating.
This coating is made with carefully selected raw materials and formulation ratios to enhance the original luster of the paint.
It is a natural and classic texture unique to glass coatings.

Recommended application

MIYABI COAT is mainly used as a base coat because of its simple application procedure.

We apply it as a base coat as "PAINT TUNING" to strengthen the delicate painted surface after polishing. The surface hardness is 8H or 9H by the same measurement method as other manufacturers, but we do not publicly state this because we do not think it is necessary to do so in the overseas market.

Emphasis on Protection
We recommend applying 2 layers of ISM COAT as a top coat.
KAMIKAZE PROTECTION-KIT -竹 Bamboo- (sold as a set)
By applying multiple layers of substances with different properties, the durability of the coating itself and the aesthetic appearance can be improved in every aspect.

Emphasis on aesthetics
Two layers of INFINITY WAX are recommended as the top coat.
Sold as a set
INFINITY WAX KIT
or
KAMIKAZE PROTECTION-KIT -松 Matsu
By applying a harder and thicker film than that of INFINITY WAX, it becomes the very same paint film used at the Concours d'Elegance.
Almost all of the cars used in the Concourse d'Elegance overseas are treated with MIYABI COAT and INFINITY WAX.

For daily use
Use OVER COAT as a sacrificial film for daily post-car wash care.
You can get the maximum performance of OVER COAT.

Durability

3 years or more for indoor storage weekend use only
2 years or more for daily outdoor storage

Our theory is that coatings cannot protect against all substances.
Therefore, our ANTI-AGING lineup includes the best products to extend the life of the coating.
We have measured results of more than 5 years in the Sunshine Weather Test (artificial rain test).
However, our theory is that it is not that long-lasting in real world practice.

Application procedure

This product is developed and sold for professional application.
Failure to do so will require the hardened layer to be removed by polishing.
Indoor application is recommended.
After application, allow the product to dry for at least 12 hours in an environment away from water and rain.

Application procedure for MIYABI COAT.
1. Soak the supplied applicator cloth with the Miyabi coat.
2. Apply evenly in the same direction. (No problem to apply in the same way as general coating agents.)
3. Allow 10-20 minutes for reaction drying time, and then wipe up with a clean microfiber cloth.
(Please apply under the recommended application environment. Temperature: 15-25℃, Humidity: 40-70%)
In addition, 1-2 hours of drying time is required after wiping. Do not spray water on the surface for at least 12-24 hours after application.
When using MIYABI COAT as a base layer and ISM COAT as a top layer, please allow an interval of about 2 hours. (for drying time after wiping)
